Lightened upgrade- crankshaft gear from BAR-TEK® for all 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888 engines with 2nd and 3rd generation chain.
The BAR-TEK® crankshaft gear is made of high-strength aluminium and is extremely light compared to the standard part. This puts less strain on the engine and improves performance.

If the crankshaft gear is replaced, the centre bolt must also be replaced. A shorter belt is also required.
For engines with a modified crank drive due to e. g. H-beam conrods , forged pistons and/or crankshaft, we recommend our harmonic vibration damper.
