No carbon buildup on the intake valves and intake manifold flaps, and all without cleaning? Plus, no loss of power? Our TFSI Catch Can Set solves that problem.

Advantages:
– Oil vapors are routed to the catch tank and collected there
– no carbon buildup on the intake manifold flaps and intake valves
– no excessive oil burning
 no loss of power
the system results in cleaner combustion
compatible with the original intake/engine cover
– suitable for all models with all-wheel or front-wheel drive
– the windshield washer fluid reservoir does not need to be modified as with other manufacturers, and the full volume of washer fluid remains usable
– the hoses are pre-cut to the correct length and the connections are pre-assembled
– the OEM gasket can be reused/does not need to be modified

Disadvantages without a catch tank:
– Carbon buildup on the valve -> valve breakage -> This in turn can cause engine damage
– Loss of power -> rough idle

Technical details:
– Catch tank with chambered design including sintered filter
– Extra-large tank volume: approx. 1200 ml
– Black braided stainless steel lines with racing fittings
– CNC-machined PCV fix
– Black anodized
– Plug & Play set without modifications
– Emissions values (Euro standard) are still met
– Catch tank can be emptied from below (e.g., during an oil change) without removing the tank
– No certification

Normally, oil and water vapors are routed to the intake manifold, where, after entering the combustion chamber, they are ignited and expelled in combination with the fuel-air mixture.
Due to the direct injection system in TSI models, the cylinder heads and valves are no longer scavenged with fuel.
This means that the fuel normally used for cleaning is missing, as it is injected directly into the combustion chamber.
Consequently, the exhaust gas recirculation, in conjunction with the oil and water vapors from the crankcase ventilation, leads to a significant build-up of deposits.
These deposits accumulate on the cylinder head chambers and valves.
These deposits (coking) roughen the material surfaces, narrow the air passages, and prevent optimal air turbulence and cylinder filling. Even
with minimal coking, performance is noticeably reduced, and rough idling occurs.
This is further compounded by poorer emissions and increased fuel consumption.
In advanced stages, these carbon deposits can even disrupt the valve train to such an extent that the valves sometimes fail to close completely, resulting in a lack of compression in the affected cylinders and causing misfires.
The carbon buildup can also lead to valve breakage,
which in the worst-case scenario can cause engine damage.
The HF-Series Catch Can Set solves this problem once and for all.
A catch tank system prevents the oil vapors produced during engine operation from entering the intake manifold.
The oil vapors are directed into the catch tank and collected there, thus reducing valve carbon buildup.
This reduction leads to smoother engine operation and ultimately to the best possible restoration of original performance.
Furthermore, the system results in cleaner combustion.
Despite the diversion of oil and water vapors into the catch can, emissions standards (Euro norm) are still met.

The main problem: the poorly designed crankcase ventilation system.
Under high G-forces, especially in combination with higher oil temperatures, oil sloshes up to the crankcase ventilation and then enters the fresh air side of the turbocharger, leading to heavy smoke from the tailpipes.
The consequences: limp mode, misfires, turbocharger damage, and even catastrophic engine failure.
Under sporty driving conditions, the oil separator does not function optimally.
Sporting conditions typically occur on the racetrack, but can also arise from hard braking from high speeds or on steep roads.
The solution: This is precisely where our catch-can system differs from simpler versions where a tank is simply placed between the return lines.
With our system, the entire PCV block on the cylinder head is modified. This block is designed to prevent engine oil from “sloshing over” into the return line, making this problem a thing of the past for all EA888 Gen3/4 engines.
