This new development from HF- Series is compatible with almost all intake systems for VAG 1.8 – 2.0 Euro 6 TSI engines.
It represents a crucial component between the turbocharger and the intake system, because only when the entire path to the turbocharger is optimized can the full potential of the turbocharger and engine be realized.
The new intake manifold was developed to enable maximum throughput and optimal flow.
Since the original component is restrictive and also has flow-unfavorable edges, it is not designed for performance and actually creates turbulence and back pressure.
In contrast, our upgraded intake manifold was enlarged to a maximum diameter of 70mm after 3D scanning. This resulted in an increase in airflow of over 50%, from 219 cfm in the original part to a remarkable 319.5 cfm.
Thanks to state-of-the-art flow animations and other computer simulations, this high-performance aluminum component with a CNC-machined flange and hand-finished outlets was created.
This ensures optimal and consistent airflow to the turbocharger.
The results are higher maximum power and improved throttle response.

Optimized airflow
Our aluminum inlet is specifically designed to maximize airflow. The reduced wall thickness of just 2 mm minimizes turbulence and resistance inside the inlet. This results in a smoother and more efficient air supply to the engine, which optimizes combustion and thus increases performance.

Aluminum is characterized by excellent thermal conductivity, resulting in improved heat management. Our inlets enable faster heat dissipation, keeping the intake air cooler and increasing engine efficiency. Reduced weight
Another advantage of our aluminum inlets is their reduced weight. With a wall thickness of just 2 mm, they are significantly lighter at 227 grams than their 5 mm thick cast counterparts. This reduced weight contributes to a reduction in the overall vehicle mass, which improves handling and acceleration. Every gram saved can make a difference, especially in motorsports or high-performance vehicles.
