We’re slowly reaching the halfway point of the Audi A5 build with the EA888.2 engine. The turbo is installed — XTP RS550+ — with a bit of custom fitting and we’re there. Over the next few days, we’ll focus on the fine details and engine break-in. More to come… stay tuned 🙂
Cupra Ateca remap to 390 HP + DSG remap. -R600 intake to make the car breathe a little easier OEM+ look 🙂 The process took about an hour and a half.
And here we are — downpipe installed and R600 + Stage 2 remap at 425 horsepower. Now the car has really come alive, and in the next few days the long-awaited 800+ project begins. We also lowered the car with EIBACH springs (-2.5) + a dogbone insert. The engine remap was super easy, and the downpipe installation was done in under an hour and a half. So, we’ve reached the point where we’ll be starting a next-generation project within the next 3 weeks — MQB Evo, EA888.4, or in other words: GOLF 8 R. Plan:– Ported cylinder head– Forged engine + reinforced piston pins– Stronger valve springs / performance valve springs– Big turbo / custom made by BAR-TEK– 3.5-inch (90 mm) downpipe + full BULL-X HG Motorsport exhaust– LPFP upgrade (UPME)– MPI port + flex-fuel E85– DSG bootloader 301 + carbon clutch pack More details about the project coming in the next days and weeks…
Currently the fastest Golf is our Golf 🙂 Golf 7.5 R with quite a few modifications, 100–200 km/h in 6.4 seconds (19” wheels, 235/35 tires, vehicle + driver weight 1630 kg). Forged engine, prepped for 1000 horsepower, LPFP and HPFP upgrades + 980 MPI injectors. XTP RS600+ turbo (G30-770). HG charge pipes. HG HF Series intercooler. TTRS brakes 370 mm. Oil catch can plus oil cooler. Full Milltek FI 80 exhaust with OEM flaps. CAN-checked unit. MICHELIN PS4S tires. HG Blau ignition coils / blue of course :)). The car is still waiting for WMI meth injection on settings 6–10, and a multimap of course.
